My Own Darling Daughter's Referral Announcement

Inspiration: Finally seeing our daughter's beautiful face! Hannah's Chinese name "Fu" is a nickname for lotus flower. The photo of the flower on her announcement was taken on a recent trip to Longwood Gardens with my sister Jennifer. The color of her name and the background match her nursery.

We're in love!

My E-mail Address

Need to contact me? E-mail me at ashleyfowlkes@yahoo.com! I think there's a better way of putting this on my site, but I'm not the most experienced blogger in the world, and I don't have time right now to dig for the information. Leave a comment if you've got a better way! Thanks!

A Fun Design

This was a fun one to create. I used a part of the original snapshot to create border on the left of the image. The picture of the cat artist was hanging on the wall of the room Keelyn was photographed in, and I just cropped it, copied it, and flipped every other one for the pattern effect. This sweet girl, now 3 and a half, will soon be welcoming home a baby sister. I look forward to doing that announcement as well!

Quote for Library Lovers

I designed this (sans the "designed by" tag line) for a fellow librarian, whose blog can be found here, and whose Cafe Press store can be found here.

The personalized "Love in Two Languages" poem and referral announcement were created for a July Dragonfly family. Congrats to them!

Manly Monograms

Two versions of possibilities for the Sam man. (For some reason, these look grey, but I created them black and white. Hmmm...)

Another Sweet Referral

Another of my online friends received a photo of her beautiful daughter, who is now waiting to meet her in China! I used an image from her blog (the top transparent image of a daffodil leaning over in the snow) as part of the design and basis for the poem.

Ashley, Actually (new background)

The many faces of me.

Referral Announcement

This was done as a baby gift (of sorts) for a friend who just received the referral for a daughter she'll soon be traveling to adopt in China. Some day (soon) I will be able to create one for our family!

Black and White Business Card

I did this card for a friend's brother. I like that it's black and white, and it's more cost-effective to print than full color.

Baby Announcement for My Pal Val

My friends announced this over the weekend, so I don't think I'm disclosing any secrets by posting the announcement I created for them here. It was loads of fun to make, and the theme is so appropriate - her husband is a fireman! Congrats, Val!

Name Plates

This isn't a monogram, but I don't know what to call it. How about a "name plate?"

The first one is for the bride and groom; the second one includes the bride's daughter.

Monograms and M&Ms: Kim & Ben

The fun one is first, then the more formal.

Monogram & More: Susan's Shower

I made this corsage for a recent wedding shower. The pink flowers are silk; the white are fresh. The silver hearts have "love" on them. I printed the monogram on pink bags then put flowers and a circle of white tulle in them.

Business Cards, Calling Cards

This is the business card I created for a potential freelance job.

I created this business card for a friend in Louisiana.

This one was just a fun calling card for my sister.

This was a gift of sorts for a talented young lady at church. The cake is actually one of her creations, stylized a little in Photoshop .
