Red Thread Floral Shower Invitation

Sharon sent me an picture she took of a fabric swatch from her nursery bedding, which I then used to create the background of this baby shower invitation. I love her colors, and how they fit so well with the "red thread" quote.

Sweethearts (and I've Been Tagged)

Hello, ladies and gentlemen! Let me introduce you to the Fowlkes family sweethearts, Jaycie Ann and Hannah Li. Aren't they sweet? I've been away from graphic design projects for awhile, since travelling to China during the holidays and getting readjusted to life with baby in this new year has taken quite a bit of time. I plan to ease slowly back into creative endeavors, as soon as I work to figure out how to get dressed before noon. I created this design to include in the many thank you notes I'm writing to those who've helped welcome Hannah home.

On a side note, I've been tagged! I was tagged (first time ever, BTW) by a fellow adoptive blogger mom at Dumplings Three and asked to list six strange things about myself. Since my other blog is more personal, I'm going to list it over here.

My Own Darling Daughter's Referral Announcement

Inspiration: Finally seeing our daughter's beautiful face! Hannah's Chinese name "Fu" is a nickname for lotus flower. The photo of the flower on her announcement was taken on a recent trip to Longwood Gardens with my sister Jennifer. The color of her name and the background match her nursery.

We're in love!

My E-mail Address

Need to contact me? E-mail me at! I think there's a better way of putting this on my site, but I'm not the most experienced blogger in the world, and I don't have time right now to dig for the information. Leave a comment if you've got a better way! Thanks!
